Week 7 is the 2nd month of pregnancy. Your baby is now 5 weeks old, because that is how long it has been since the egg and sperm fused. That's not much, and your baby is still very small, but its body is changing very intensively right now. Everything that happens in the 7th week of pregnancy affects further development. Remember to take care of yourself and listen to your body.

How does a mother feel in the 7th week of pregnancy?

Your mood may deteriorate slightly in the 7th week of pregnancy. The level of pregnancy hormones (progesterone, oestrogen and chorionic gonadotropin) continues to rise. For this reason, you are already experiencing discomfort. Some of them are annoying. Don't worry, in most cases they will subside by the end of the first trimester.

A vaginal ultrasound will be performed during your first visit to the gynaecologist. In the 7th week of pregnancy, it is still too early to use a transducer to look at the inside of the uterus with a lower abdominal probe. In the following months you will have an ultrasound examination of the abdomen.
